Andrew Rankin started with Burchells as an articled clerk in June 2000, and became a partner in 2009. Andrew obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor in 2000 and his Bachelor of Arts (Honours, Philosophy) from Saint Marys University in 1996. He also possesses a certificate in Chinese Language and Culture from Xiamen University in Xiamen, China in 1996.
Andrew is a member of the litigation group, with his practice focusing on commercial and banking litigation. He acts on behalf of several major lending institutions and appears regularly in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia on debtor and creditor issues.
In his free time Andrew is an avid road cyclist, enjoys running, playing guitar and is a PADI certified scuba diver. Andrew volunteers his time on the Board of the Legal Information Society and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and Risk Management Association.
