Cheryl is a member
of our litigation team. She graduated from Dalhousie Law School
in 1997 and was called to the bar in 1998. Cheryl has spent
her entire career practicing in various areas of insurance
litigation in Nova Scotia, representing a number of well-known
insurers. As part of her ongoing professional development
in that area, she has attended courses and workshops presented
by the Insurance Institute and the CIP Society regarding investigation
of various types of insurance claims, including insurance
fraud. Cheryl is actively involved with Canadian Defence Lawyers,
the CBA Insurance Section and the Nova Scotia Insurance Women's
Association. She participates in the Nova Scotia Barristers'
Society as the Vice-Chair of the Lawyer's Assistance Program
Committee, and as a member of the Credentials Committee.
Cheryl is a native Newfoundlander, who now lives in Dartmouth
with her husband, Andrew and their two sons. They are members
of the Banook Canoe Club, and Cheryl has a special interest
in the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
